Permissions and Statistics when using the Brakar Reise app

You can use the Brakar Reise app without providing any information about yourself. This applies even if you have entered details about your home and work addresses, as this information is only stored within the app.

However, we want to make you aware of permissions and statistics when using the app:

Permissions

For Brakar Reise to function optimally, the app requires access to certain features on your phone. You can choose to disable these permissions, but some features may not be available or may not work optimally. You can disable permissions in your phone’s settings.

Brakar Reise requests access to:

Location

Used to find your position, so you can see nearby bus stops on the map, get search results sorted by your location, and find trips to or from your current location. You can search for bus stops and addresses even if location services are turned off.

Mobile data

You need internet access to use all the services in the app. If mobile data is turned off, you must have access to a wireless network (Wi-Fi).

Calendar

Used if you add a trip to your calendar.

Statistics

We aim to improve the app and use Google Analytics in Brakar Reise to gather information about its usage. The usage information is sent to us in an anonymized form and cannot be linked to you as a user. If you still do not want to share your usage information, you can disable this feature under “Settings” in the app.
