Taxi due to Lack of School Bus Service/Dangerous School Route
Applies to students who have been granted transportation between home and school due to the lack of bus service or a particularly dangerous school route (applies to primary school), for all or part of the distance.
School transportation is valid for the school’s maximum start and end times. Driving at other times is not the responsibility of Brakar.
Please note the following:
- The transportation should be considered as regular school transportation by bus. For example, if a new bus service is established, this offer will no longer be valid.
- Students are not entitled to door-to-door transportation but must be prepared to walk to a pick-up point.
- The student must be ready for pick-up at the agreed time and location. If the student arrives late to the agreed time, the taxi cannot wait, and transportation must be arranged by the student/parent.
- There are often several students sharing a taxi, and the transport provider determines the route and the order in which the students will be picked up/dropped off.
- The transport provider decides the time of arrival and departure, and this is arranged with the student/parent. The transport provider will not wait for the student. Delays may occur due to traffic conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
- If the student will not need transportation on certain days, this must be communicated to the transport provider preferably the day before but no later than one hour before the student was supposed to be picked up at home or school.
- The student cannot request the transport provider to drive on other routes than specified in the booking or at different times.
- If the basis for the transportation changes, the student/parent must inform the school.
