Student Discount
Brakar offers a 40% student discount on season tickets for those under 30 years old who meet the following criteria:
- Studying full-time at high school, university, college or equivalent educational institutions eligible for support through Lånekassen. Norwegian international students are also eligible for the student discount.
- Full-time apprentices or candidates qualifying under the definition in Chapter 4 of the Education Act.
- Attending a folk high school as a full-time student.
When purchasing or renewing a student ticket, you must always present a receipt for the paid semester fee and valid identification.
Remember to Carry Valid Student ID
You must have a valid student identification card (physical or on your mobile device) or apprentice card when using a student ticket. If your valid identification does not have a photo, you must be able to identify yourself with other valid identification.
Apprentices must carry an apprentice card, which can be obtained by contacting the Vocational Training Section in Viken.
Youth Ticket
If you are under 20 years old, it will be more beneficial to purchase our youth ticket instead of using the student discount.
