In connection with the opening of the new hospital and, later, the city bridge, new bus routes will be introduced in Drammen and Lier. Many lines will remain largely unchanged apart from now serving both Bragernes and Strømsø, while some lines will undergo complete revisions.

The provisional start date for the new bus routes is 6 October.

Line 1: Mjøndalen – New Hospital

Line 51 will become Line 1 and be extended to the new hospital. This will be the main lines to and from the hospital and will be operated with articulated buses.

Line 1 will run via Bragernes torg, which will be the main transfer point for passengers from other parts of the city.

Between Bragernes torg and the new hospital, the bus will run along Nedre Strandgate, with only one stop: Bragernes Strand, located at the junction of Nedre Strandgate and Søren Lemmichs gate.

From the hospital, there will be eight departures per hour on weekdays: 4 to Mjøndalen and 4 to Sørensvingen. On Saturdays, there will be a 15-minute frequency from the hospital to Sørensvingen, and a 30-minute frequency to Mjøndalen. On Sundays, all departures go to Mjøndalen, with a 30-minute frequency.

Line 2: Gulskogen – Drammen Bus Station – Bragernes torg – Hans Hansens vei – Kastanjesletta

Line 2 replaces the current services to Gulskogen (Line 25), Kastanjesletta (Line 3), and Hans Hansens vei (Line 61). The new line 2 will run via Hans Hansens vei between Bragernes and Kastanjesletta.

Line 2 will give Kastanjesletta residents faster access to the city centre, and Gulskogen a Sunday service.

Please note: Solås and Myrehagen stops will close. Passengers must use Steinbakken or line 4 from Bera Nedre.

Line 3: Fjell – Bragernes torg

Line 3 will no longer run to Kastanjesletta. Its new terminus will be Bragernes torg.
