Monday, 6 October is the day for major changes to the public transport service in Drammen and Lier. Bybrua is opening again to buses, and the new Line 1 is starting to run between Mjøndalen and the new hospital.

From today, buses can finally drive across Bybrua, which means major restructuring of the bus services. Bamse Brakar and County Mayor Tore Opdal Hansen was involved in marking the official opening of Line 1 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

As Opdal Hansen emphasised beforehand: “When the buses can drive across Bybrua again, we get a simpler and more efficient public transport system that connects the city better.”

Here’s what you need to know about the route changes.

The opening of Bybrua entails extensive changes in Drammen and Lier, including the introduction of a brand-new route: Line 1.

  • Check the journey planner: Check the journey planner on our web page or in our app to ensure you catch your bus. Several routes are getting new itineraries and timetables from today. Read more about this here.
  • Check the platform overview: Several buses will be leaving from new platforms. This applies particularly at Bragernes torg. We urge everyone to check which platform your bus will be leaving from.
  • Line 1: The new Line 1 is now operational as part of the new timetables and runs to the hospital 8 times an hour on weekdays.

Welcome aboard the bus!
