On February 1, 2023, we will be closing our online store due to low sales.
“Over the past few years, fewer and fewer people have used the online store, and now the sales have dropped so low that we have decided to close it,” says Sales and Marketing Manager Kjersti D. Nordgård.
“During the pandemic, even more people switched to using the mobile app, and now 85 percent of ticket sales are made through the app,” she adds.
Over the past year, sales through the online store accounted for less than one percent of the total ticket sales at Brakar, and the revenue fell by a staggering 86 percent in the period from 2019 to 2022.
“My Page” will still be available
It will be possible to make purchases in the online store until 9:00 PM on January 31, 2023.
“My Page” will still be accessible, so those who have purchased tickets in the online store will have access to their purchase history and the ability to check the balance on their travel card.
Passengers who purchase new travel cards at the Customer Service Centre or on the bus after February 1st will have the option to register their card on Brakar’s website, allowing them to check the balance and receive assistance and refunds in case of card loss.
Other ways to buy tickets
From February 1st, you will have the following options for purchasing or refilling your travel card:
- Purchase season tickets (including the youth ticket) through the Brakar Billett app.
- Purchase or refill your travel card at the Customer Service Centre in Drammen or at the Mix kiosk in Hønefoss.
- Purchase or refill your travel card on the bus (except for city buses in Drammen, lines 1-25).
If you wish to buy or refill your travel card on the bus, you must pay with cash. Card payment is only available on the following routes: 200, 330, 331, 332, 333, 334, 336, and 420.
