Bus Services on Public Holidays in May

In May, there are several public holidays where bus services are reduced. Below, you’ll find an overview of how buses operate in your area on the 1st of May, Ascension Day (9th of May), the 17th of May, and during Pentecost (18th-20th of May).

Please note that on the 17th of May, there are children’s parades in many areas in our region where buses operate. Some delay should be expected during the times of these parades, as buses must wait for the roads to clear.

Customer Service Centre Closed

Our Customer Service Centre will be closed on the 1st of May, 9th of May, and 17th-20th of May. Please use our journey planner, or the Brakar Reise or Entur apps to check bus schedules.

Mix Kiosk in Hønefoss

The Mix Sentrum Stopp kiosk in Hønefoss will have the following opening hours on public holidays in May:

  • 1st of May and 9th of May: 10:00-18:00
  • 17th of May: 08:00-17:00
  • 18th of May: 10:00-17:00
  • 19th and 20th of May: 10:00-20:00

Drammen and Lier

1st of May: Sunday service.
Ascension Day (9th of May): Sunday service.
Pentecost Eve (18th of May): Saturday service.
Pentecost (19th and 20th of May): Sunday service.

Note that route 52 will only operate between Drammen and Mjøndalen on these days.

Night buses will operate as usual on the 17th and 18th of May.

The Svelvik ferry will operate on a Saturday schedule on the 1st of May, 17th of May, and 18th of May, and on a Sunday schedule on the 9th of May and the 19th and 20th of May. Check the schedule here.

On the 17th of May, buses will run on Saturday schedules, except for routes 52, 100, and 101, which will operate on Sunday schedules. Note the following:

  • Route 3: Two extra departures will be added from Liejordet to Bragernes torg at 08:47 and 09:17.
  • Route 5: One extra departure will be added from Vinnes to Bragernes torg at 09:20. 09:20.
  • Route 14 will not be able to service Bragernes torg between 09:00 and 15:00. The nearest bus stop is Albums gate. Towards Underlia you can also use Drammen sykehus. From Underlia to Drammen the final stop will be Konggata.
  • Routes 51, 100, and 101 will stop at their usual platform at Bragernes torg on the 17th of May, but will enter and exit the city via Øvre Strandgate. This means that Drammen sykehus will not be served by these routes between 09:00 and 15:00.
  • Route 52 will only operate between Drammen and Mjøndalen.
  • Route 61 will be split in two between 09:00 and 15:00, and will run between Bragernes and Bera, and Ole Steens gate and Lierbyen. Towards Bera, the bus will operate to/from platform B as usual, but will not be able to serve Drammen sykehus during this time. Towards Lierbyen, route 61 will start and stop at Ole Steens gate, near the old public swimming pool.
  • Route 71: Towards Drammen route 71 will be unable to service Losjeplassen, Tinghuset, or Bragernes torg between 09:00 and 15:00. Temporary start and end stop will be at Ole Steens gate (by the old swimming pool). In the direction of Lierbyen, Brandtenborggata will also not be serviced. The first stop after Ole Steens gate will be Solbakken.
  • Route 73 will not be able to drive to Bragernes torg between 09:00 and 15:00 on the 17th of May. The bus will start and stop at Ole Steens gate (outside the old public swimming pool). The buses will stop at CC, but not at Tinghuset, Losjeplassen or Brandtenborggata.
  • Route 169 will not stop between Sjølyst and the bus terminal on the 17th of May.

Øvre Eiker and Modum

1st of May, 9th of May, 19th of May, and 20th of May: No service, except for routes 100 and 101, which will operate on Sunday schedules.
17th of May: Sunday service. Note especially:

  • Routes 100 and 101 will stop at their usual platform at Bragernes torg on the 17th of May, but will enter and exit the city via Øvre Strandgate. This means that Drammen sykehus will not be served between 09:00 and 15:00.

18th of May: Saturday service.

Note that route 52 will only operate between Drammen and Mjøndalen on these days.

Sigdal and Krøderen

1st of May, 9th of May, 17th of May, 19th of May, and 20th of May: No service except for route 105, which will operate on a Sunday schedule.
18th of May: No service except for route 105, which will operate on a regular Saturday schedule.

Kongsberg and Numedal

1st of May: No service, except for Brakar Fleks and route 420, which will operate on a Sunday schedule.
9th of May: No service, except for Brakar Fleks and route 420, which will operate on a Sunday schedule.
17th of May: Only Brakar Fleks and route 420 will operate on this day.

Route 420 runs departs from Kongsberg at 08:35 and 15:40, and from Geilo at 10:05 and 14:05. Please note that the afternoon departures cannot stop at Tråkka or Thornes vei. Please use Sølvparken or Friedland Vestsiden.

Brakar Fleks cannot service the following bus stops between 10:00 and 18:00 on May 17th: Kongsberg Knutepunkt, Kongens gate, Tråkka, Thornes vei, Rådhuset, and Bussedalen. The nearest served stops are Baneveien, Sølvparken, or Friedland Vestsiden.

18th of May: Saturday service.
19th and 20th of May: No service, except for Brakar Fleks and route 420, which will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Brakar Fleks:

  • 1st of May: 09:00-22:00 (entire Fleks zone can be used).
  • 9th of May: 09:00-22:00 (entire Fleks zone can be used).
  • 17th of May: 09:00-22:00 (entire Fleks zone can be used).
  • 18th of May: Regular Saturday schedule: 08:00-24:00 (entire Fleks zone can be used).
  • 19th-20th of May: 09:00-22:00 (entire Fleks zone can be used).

Ringerike and Hole

1st of May: Sunday service.
9th of May: Sunday service.
17th of May: Sunday service (applies to route 200 as well, but note that route 200 will not stop between Sjølyst and the bus terminal on the 17th of May).
18th of May: Saturday service.
19th and 20th of May: Sunday service.

Hallingdal

1st of May: Sunday service.
9th of May: Sunday service.
17th of May: All routes suspended, except for route 420 Kongsberg-Geilo, with departures from Kongsberg at 08:35 and 15:40, and from Geilo at 10:05 and 14:05.
18th of May: Saturday service.
19th and 20th of May: Sunday service.
