Strengthening bus services in Drammen and Lier from 5 October

We are expanding services in the evening and at weekends, and making connections easier so that taking the bus becomes simpler. Lierskogen gets a significantly improved service, and new trips are added on Sunday mornings across several lines.

The changes involve a significant expansion of evening and weekend services, as well as minor time adjustments to ensure safer and smoother transfers between lines. Among the biggest updates is a major boost to Line 73 Lierskogen - Drammen, which expands by 21 new departures per week.

– "Our goal is to make public transport simple and attractive. With these new changes, we are adapting our services so more people have access to the bus when they need it—whether traveling for work, school, or leisure activities in the evenings or on weekends," says Terje Sundfjord, head of section at Brakar.

Key updates

Several lines receive additional departures and improved connections at key hubs like Strømsø and Bragernes torg.

Focus on weekends and evenings

Line 1, Line 2, Line 3, Line 4, and Line 5 have added new departures on Sunday mornings. Line 22 and Line 24 also feature new Sunday morning departures and will run every half-hour throughout the evening.

Many new departures to Reistad and Bråtasvingen

Line 73 gains 21 new weekly departures. We have expanded evening service so the bus runs hourly, with the final departure from Lierskogen sentrum at 21:57 on weekdays. On Saturdays, the last bus departs at 23:02. Four new departures in each direction have also been added on Sundays.

Adjusted school buses

Line 37 departs five minutes later to allow passengers heading to Lier and St. Hallvard upper secondary schools to make their connection at Bragernes torg. Line 56 from Hovjordet departs five minutes earlier; it is one of three morning departures extended to run across Bybrua to Strømsø torg.

Minor timetable adjustments

Nearly all lines have minor adjustments of a few minutes to improve punctuality and transfers. Line 3 departs three minutes later from its origin. Line 61 and Line 63 depart two minutes later from Drammen busstasjon on weekends. We encourage everyone to check their specific routes using the travel planner at brakar.no, the app, or the updated timetables starting 5 October to avoid missing their bus.
