Adjusted in line with inflation

This year’s price adjustment is 3.5 percent. This follows the national estimate for price and wage growth, also known as the municipal deflator (kommunal deflator).

This means we are not increasing prices more than required by the general increase in costs. For us, it is important to be transparent and predictable regarding price changes, so you can trust that the bus remains an affordable alternative to the car.

Here is what the most commonly used tickets will cost from 27 January:

City Ticket – Buskerudbyen:

• Single ticket (Adult): 33 NOK
• Single ticket (Child/Senior): 17 NOK

Single ticket 1 zone:

• Single ticket (Adult): 48 NOK
• Single ticket (Child): 24 NOK
• 30-day season ticket (Adult): 1005 NOK

Line 200 Hønefoss – Oslo (7 zones) :

• Single ticket from Hønefoss to Oslo (Adult): 216 NOK
• 30-day season ticket from Hønefoss to Oslo: 2824 NOK

Changes to senior discounts for spouses

Fares in Buskerud follow national guidelines for social discounts. The Ministry of Transport has decided to discontinue the “spouse discount” from 2026.

This means that from 27 January, a spouse or partner will no longer receive a senior discount simply by travelling with a person holding a senior ticket. To travel with a senior discount after this date, you must personally meet the requirements (be over 67 years old or hold valid documentation from NAV).

Brakar’s General Price Table 2026

Valid from January 27th, 2026. The prices in the table apply when purchasing your ticket through the Brakar, VY, or Entur apps. When purchasing on board or at one of our ticket outlets, you must pay an onboard extra fee of 20 NOK. There is no extra fee for children or seniors.

* Using a transfer ticket for bus/train requires a season ticket with Vy Tog. Bus travel must be in connection with the departure or arrival station on the train ticket.

On-board surcharge

• Adult single ticket: 20 NOK
• Adult and student season ticket: 20 NOK

Route 200 Price Table from January 27th 2026.

Note that route 200 has its own prices for journeys crossing the county border between Buskerud and Akershus. For journeys within Buskerud, Brakar’s pricing regulations apply, while for journeys within Oslo/Akershus, Ruter’s pricing regulations apply. The table below shows Brakar’s prices. If you are travelling within Ruter’s area, you must refer to Ruter’s price table.

When purchasing on board or at one of our ticket outlets, you must pay an onboard extra fee of 20 NOK. For a season ticket on route 200, the extra fee is 100 NOK. There is no extra fee for children or seniors.
