Improved Bus Services in Buskerud

The county municipality is increasing its investment in public transport by NOK 17 million leading up to 2029. This means that several bus lines will get more frequent departures, with a special focus on evenings and weekends. Some of these changes have already started, while the rest are currently being planned.

Check Which Bus Lines Will Have More Frequent Departures

We are currently planning more departures across large parts of the county. This will make it easier for you to leave your car at home, saving you money and the hassle of parking.

  • Kongsberg: You can now book and use the Brakar Fleks service on Sundays as well.
  • Øvre Eiker: Line 117 Ormåsen - Hokksund will have more departures in the evening and on Saturdays.
  • Ringerike: Line 200 Hønefoss - Oslo will get two new departures each way on Sundays.
  • Lier: Line 73 Lierskogen - Reistad - Drammen will have more departures in the evening, on weekends, and during holidays.
  • Drammen: Several lines will get more frequent departures in the evening and on weekends.

These Improvements Have Already Started

We have already introduced several changes to make your journey easier:

  • Since 2 March, you have had four new weekday departures to choose from on Line 200 Hønefoss - Oslo (via Sollihøgda).
  • Since 30 March, the Drammen sykehus bus stop has been divided into new zones.
  • Since 4 May, Line 13 Kastanjesletta - Vinnes has been running directly between east and west in Åssiden, and the bus is once again stopping at the Solås and Myrehagen stops.
  • Since 4 May, we have added two new departures in Hallingdal to better align with train arrival and departure times.

How We Ensure Space for Students on the Bus

We work closely with schools to monitor passenger numbers, ensuring that students who are entitled to free school transport get a seat on the bus.
