The Transport Committee in Buskerud County Municipality approved on Tuesday, 9th April, the coalition's proposal for cuts to the bus route offerings in Buskerud. The proposal entails both major and minor reductions to the bus service across the county.
Brakar has been instructed by the county municipalities to cut NOK 45 million per year. The cuts, which have been approved, are primarily achieved by reducing summer routes, weekend services, routes in rural areas, and services outside of rush hour. Statutory school transport will not be affected.
The cuts will be implemented from the summer and autumn of 2024:
- Cuts listed under "summer" in the overview will take effect at the end of the school term in June.
- Cuts listed under "all year" and "winter" in the overview will take effect at the start of the school term in August (including route 169).
- Routes 14, 15, 16, and 21 in Drammen will be discontinued at the start of the school term in August.

These routes will be affected:
Route 3 Fjell-Kastanjesletta
- Summer: Saturdays: Departures every half-hour instead of every 20 minutes between 9 and 18.
- All year: Weekdays: Departures every half-hour instead of every 20 minutes before 06:00 and after 19:00. Between 06 and 19, buses will run every 10 minutes as before.
- All year: Saturdays: Departures every half-hour instead of every 20 minutes between 9–11 and 18–19.
Route 4 Kniveåsen-Drammen busstasjon
- All year: Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (removing two trips in the morning and three in the evening). Sundays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (removing two trips in the morning and three in the evening).
Route 5 Tors vei-Vinnes
- All year: Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (removing two trips in the morning and three in the evening). Sundays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (removing two trips in the morning and two in the evening).
- Summer: Weekdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (removing one trip in the early morning and four in the evening). Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (removing four trips in the morning and four in the evening). Sundays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour all day (removing 12 trips between 11:00 and 22:00).
Route 14 Underlia-Strøtvet
- This route will be discontinued. Pupils granted school transport will be taken care of.
Route 15 Drammen-Austad skog (updated June 19th) Route 21 Drammen-Tolerud
- Route 15 to Austad Skog and route 21 to Tolerud will be maintained until Buskerud County Council has concluded on whether the bus service to Tolerud should be integrated into routes 22 and 24. The matter will be addressed in September. From the start of the school term, we will run hourly services on weekdays between 06:00 and 18:00 on these two routes.
Route 16 Drammen-Mælen/Skoger
- This route will be discontinued. Pupils granted school transport will be taken care of.
Route 22 Drammen busstasjon-Konnerud-Andorsrud/Svingen Route 24 Drammen busstasjon-Konnerud-Eikerdelet
- All year: Weekdays: Departures every half-hour instead of every 20 minutes except during rush hours; departures every hour instead of every 20 minutes from 19-21. Saturdays: Departures every half-hour instead of every 20 minutes from 8-18..

Route 52 Drammen-Mjøndalen-Hokksund
- This route will only run between Drammen and Mjøndalen, eliminating the Mjøndalen-Hokksund section.
Route 61 Lierbyen skole - Bera
- All year: Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (7-9 and 21-24).
- Summer: Weekdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the early morning and evening (5–6 and 21-24). Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour all day (8-23).
Route 62 Sylling-Sørsdal-Lierbyen (updated June 17th)
- All year - weekdays: The departure at 05:45 from Kyllerud - Lierbyen and at 06:30 from Lierbyen-Sylling will be cut. The departures from Sylling at 11:00 and 13:00, and from Lierbyen at 12:30 will be cut. The departure from Sylling at 17:00 and from Lierbyen at 17:30 will be cut.
Route 63 Sylling-Sjåstad-Lierbyen (updated June 17th)
All year - weekdays: The following departures will be cut on weekdays: From Sylling at 09:20 and 11:20. From Lierbyen at 10:05 and 12:05. During Christmas, Easter and from the summer of 2025, route 63 will have departures every other hour between 06:00 and 19:00, and no departures after 19:00.
All year, Saturdays: The following departures will be cut on Saturdays: From Sylling at 09:20 and from Lierbyen at 10:05. During Christmas, Easter and 8 weeks in the summer the last departure from Lierbyen at 23:25 will be cut.
- All year, Sunday: No departures after 18:00.
Route 71 Asker-Tranby-Lierbyen-Drammen
- All year: Weekdays: The 5:15 departure from Asker is removed; alternatives are at 4:45 and 5:45. Departures every hour late evening instead of every half-hour (8:30–22:30). Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (8–11 and 20-24). Sundays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour in the morning and evening (10-12 and 20-23).
- Summer: Weekdays: The 5:15 departure from Asker is removed; alternatives are at 4:45 and 5:45. Departures every hour in the evening instead of every half-hour. Saturdays: Departures every hour instead of every half-hour during the day (8-18).
Route 73 Drammen-Lierskogen via Reistad (updated June 17th)
- All year, weekdays: The last departures from Bragernes at 19:22 and from Lierskogen at 20:12 will be cut.
- All year, Saturdays: No departures after 18:00.
- All year, Sundays: No departures on Sundays (formerly an on-demand offer).
Route 92 Mariås-Svelvik ferjekai
- All year Weekdays: The following departures are cut: Svelvik ferjekai to Mariås at 9:45, 10:45, and 11:45; Mariås to Svelvik ferjekai at 9:55, 10:55, and 11:55.
- Saturdays: All departures are cut.
Route 100 Hønefoss-Vikersund-Drammen

- Route 169 will be maintained as a rush hour service on weekdays only, with the following departures: From Lierbyen: 06:00, 06:30, 07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 15:00 and 16:00. From Oslo: 06:45, 07:20, 14:50, 15:20, 15:50, 16:20 and 17:20.
Route 52 Drammen-Mjøndalen-Hokksund
- This route will only run between Drammen and Mjøndalen, eliminating the Mjøndalen-Hokksund section.
Route 100 Hønefoss-Vikersund-Drammen
