School Cards

Information about the mode of transport will be provided by the school. School transport is primarily carried out using public transportation, and students are provided with a school card that can be used on the bus. Read more about the school card here.

Students should keep the school card they have from previous school years, but they must apply for school transport for each individual school year. Students without an approved application by week 40 will have their school card blocked.

How to find bus schedules

  1. Go to the journey planner on the homepage or search in the Brakar or Entur app.
  2. Search from your own address to the school's address to find the best travel suggestion.
  3. Remember to specify the correct date, as the times may vary from day to day.

In areas without public transportation, students will be transported by taxi to the nearest bus stop or directly to the school. Walking distance to the bus stop will be assessed according to the Education Act in each individual case.

Self-Provided Transport:

Parents/guardians can apply to provide transport themselves if the student cannot use public transportation. The application must be submitted and approved in advance. More information about transport reimbursement.
